Logan Forsythe of the San Diego Padres has been contending with a particularly nagging case of plantar fasciitis. While the infielder has been trying to avoid surgery, Forsythe acknowledges that surgery would be “the only possibility” if he does not recover from a month of rest and immobilization.
For now Forsythe has received cortisone shots and wears a protective boot to help heal his foot.
If you are suffering from plantar fasciitis, it is highly recommended to seek the care of a podiatrist, like Dr. Charles Chapel of Chapel Podiatry. Dr. Chapelwill examine your heel pain and determine if you have plantar fasciitis before providing the appropriate treatment options.
